Elwyn Brooks White was born on July 11, 1899, and died October 1, 1985, Brooklin, ME. E.B. White was an American writer, best known for Stuart Little, Charlotte’s Web, and The Trumpet of the Swan. He also a co-author the Elements of Style, with William Strunk Jr. In a 2012 survey of School Library Journal readers, Charlotte's Web was voted the top children's novel. E.B. White set the standard for children’s books and one of the great writers of our age.
