Quote of the Day #76: First They Watch, Then They Hate, Then They Copy!
Set examples in everything that you do!
The reason to be setting good examples and putting your best foot forward is a simple one, people are watching what you’re doing. Even as insignificant as you may think some things are that you do, they can be huge to an observer, so much so that they may strive to emulate you and do what you do. Often times it doesn’t always start that way. You may garner some backlash or hate for what you’re trying to accomplish and may even be setback a handful of times by these ‘onlookers’. Sometimes those folks turn into critics and haters trying to derail your mission. Don’t let this happen.
What happens a lot is that the same people throwing rocks at you are basically trying to be you, they may not even know it yet. Thus today’s quote rings true in so many ways in so many circumstances. They will watch you, your progress and your operating strategies, then they will hate on it and attempt to pull you off the horse. When these backhanded tactics prove fruitless, they simply just copy what you are doing and claim it as their own.
The world is free, it is full of opportunity, the choices and the chances to make or do anything is at our fingertips, and abundance is the name of the game. The more the merrier. Get up, get out, and get something!

Very true @sandstorm, and somehow this quote and post also brings to mind Gandhi's famous "BE the change you wish to see in the world" quote. I have always believed in doing my best because I know I am setting an example for someone, and in doing so... I also know that setting a poor example might eventually come back and bite me in the butt... when I least expect it.

So true, when I started on steemit people just watched, then they begin to hate because I have some rules in steemit group and now a lot of people are just coping me :)
