Quote of the Day #1: Remember Why You Started!

in #quoteoftheday8 years ago

What is it that makes somebody start to do something?

We all have our reasons, and that brings me to the point behind this specific quote and what it means for the @sandstorm going forward.

I have been active on social media for as long as I can remember, Myspace anyone? LOL. I always try to think of why did I, or why does anyone start posting on social media sites. I have always sought out to answer questions I may have answers to or to infuse positivity wherever I land up, this i what I do, all day every day, virtually and IRL.

side note: Believe it or not, I was once banned from a Youtube channel for constantly posting positive and uplifting comments, the channel owner told me to shove off and take my comments elsewhere and then blocked me. WTF!

The reason why we start something, for the most part doesn’t matter, what matters is simply starting! Get off the couch and take a walk, put down the donuts, or look for a new job that you will actually like.

Choose to make the choice to be better today than you were yesterday!

All you need to remember when somebody asks you “Why you started doing xyz?”, is that one single moment that you decided to kick ass in life and take names.

This all comes back to the meaning of this post and quote to me specifically. I am starting a Quote of the Day series going forward, so please join me and check back every day to get a daily dose of inspiration!

"What Motivates You To Start Something New?"

Emotion - it's the emotion behind a goal that fuels it. It's incredibly important to be clear about the emotions that drive your desire (for your goal) and to re-connect with them daily.

I think a vision board is a great way to do this. I keep one as a 1600x1100 image file on my computer (created with canva). It has images of all the things I most want to have or achieve this year. I look at it every morning and it's such a great way to connect with those emotions and keep my goals at the forefront of my mind.

You've got a great method there with the virtual vision board @septimusmaximus. Constantly reminding yourself of what's there and what it means to you is such an important thing. Thanks for sharing!

You were blocked by only posting positive comments? Wow, I would only appreciate that. Guess it really is time for me too to get off my rear end and start building this up. Can't wait to see what else you've got coming!

Yes, unfortunately it's a true story. But, I didn't let it bother me too much, as I just took my positivity with me elsewhere, and it was appreciated, so all ended well. No better time than now to build up and create something that has a special meaning to you, just do it! Thanks for dropping in @charxrid :)
