"The Course of Empire: Destruction," Thomas Cole (1836)

From The German Ideology(1845):

"Communism is for us not a state of affairs which is to be established, an ideal to which reality [will] have to adjust itself. We call communism the real movement which abolishes the present state of things. The conditions of this movement result from the premises now in existence."

Sort:

Karl Marx , Indeed himself renounced "Marxism " in the end of the beginning for His Being.

Thank You Kindly

Yep, Marx, very early on in his political dealings, was quick to denounce any kind of cult of personality which might have formed around him. This is a mistake that many of his followers failed to make and a mistake which so many are making today by limiting the political horizon based on the writings of a man who got a lot of stuff wrong.
