Competent Self Reliance Is Natural
Most people see children and even teenagers as iresponsible and incompetent. Always needing to be told what to do and what not to do. To constantly be taken care of and cleaned up after.
The truth is is that every bug, animal and bird in nature becomes extremely competent and self-reliant very quickly.
These results of incompetence and responsibility for the results of an unnatural and dysfunctional human environment.
Noki as well as her sister @qiqi-power have both been making meals since they were very young as well as doing dishes sweeping floors etc. etc.
Here is yet another example... Noki making her own sandwich. Not only doing it properly, but enjoying it as well.
What a beautiful sweet and competent being!
I know grown men who can’t make sandwiches and clean up this well hahaa
Plus she uses a whole tomato the healthiest part of the sandwich all by her own choice!
What an incredible and capable being is @noki-power! I love witnessing the magnificence of her empowerment.
Yes indeed and oh so beautiful
They probably can do it, in my experience they just do a poor job so next time the you don't bother asking them one hundred times.
Great job Noki.
I really dislike how young people are constantly put down. The media judge entire generations as lazy or entitled etc. It is prejudice plain and simple.
Adults think they have a right to comment and criticise teenagers they don't even know, in public too. My child has told me of many occasions in which someone thought they had the right to appraise her or her friends. Bus drivers speak to them in a way they wouldn't speak to other passengers.
People are not entitled to more respect just because they are old. I believe in a level of respect that every creature is deserving of. But too often the idea of respect your elders is used and abused.
Sorry I got a little off track. You hit on something. Protecting and fortifying kids self concept is so important. They are entitled. To the same respect as everyone else.
Well said and thank you for the comment it is nice to share with someone who really cares and understands
