So When I Get Back Home To Australia, What State Shall We Live In? QUEENSLAND (QLD). Do You Know QLD? Well Here Is A Brief Intro:
Believe it or not Australia is a Federation of States, same as many other well known countries out there, such as The USA. Now that I have mentioned The USA, I bet that many people out there didn't know that Australia is about the same size as the USA!
This post shall be a short intro to The State of Queensland in Australia.
Why?
Well, that is where I want to live when I get back home.
Why?
Well, lets see:
Does Queensland have its own flag?
Yes, here it is:
Every state in Australia has its own flag, same as in every other federation out there on the globe.
Does Queensland have a coat of arms?
Yes, here it is:
What is the capital city of Queensland?
Brisbane, the third largest city in Australia.
The flag of Brisbane:
and Brisbanes Coat of arms:
How big is The State of Queensland?
Queensland is MASSIVE, it is the sixth largest State (sub national entity) within a Federation world wide, with an area of 1,852,642 km2.
Just to give a comparison, The Lone Star State, TEXAS has 696,241 km2.
Don't believe me?
Here have a look for yourselves:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_country_subdivisions_by_area
This could be part of the reason why I want to live there, worked with a lot of excellent blokes from Texas who definitely have a lot of State Pride in them.
;)
How did Queensland get its name?
It was named after Queen Victoria, who on the 6th of June 1859 signed off on Queenslands statehood, this is the date celebrated State wide today.
Queensland was one of the six founding states that made up the sovereign federation of Australia on 01 January 1901.
One of the main reasons why I see a nice future for us in QLD is the climate along the east coast, however QLD being so big has many different types of climates, check it out:
It is known as "The Sunshine State"!!!!
Winter last year in QLD was on a Wednesday!
What about the Money?
The economy in QLD varies all over the state, from rural areas to the coastal area, all in all it is a powerhouse of money production as a state.
You may have heard of The Gold Coast, yep you guessed it, QLD
& The Great Barrier Reef, right again, QLD
Life in QLD in general is known to be a little (lot) less stressful than in most other western world places around the world, yet with all the luxuries and freedoms!
So it is a mix of great, fantastic and magnificent all in one State.
There are a few frogs known as Cane Toads (Bull Frogs) jumping around, I think they were brought in from Hawaii or somewhere, doesn't matter, they apparently make for good target practice with the air rifles (bb guns) :)
Without any doubt, just based on the above short intro, I think that people can start to understand why I believe this could be the place that I want my family to live and ENJOY their lives on this planet!
Again, just sharing some personal thoughts, plans, visions, ideas and dreams with everyone!
Thanks for reading,
Have a good one, and STEEM ON!
Yours truly
Jack
Difficult to pick where to live in Oz, such is the awesomeness of the country.
I travelled extensively in the years I was there and I would have to say that my pick would be either the Nth Shore in Sydney or somewhere slightly north of Brisbane. I loved Queensland and the Sunshine Coast was so beautiful but too quiet for me when I was younger however now it would be idyllic for me with its perfect climate.
Sydney's Nth Shore is equally beautiful with close proximity to everything an awesome city has to offer but the house prices are currently way too high in my opinion.
There are many other beautiful spots all over Oz however they would be my top two picks.
Sydney is OK I guess, to me its like Melbourne with a gay parade, that's all.
Personally Queensland is my pick, anywhere along the coast between Brisbane and The Gold Coast.
Everything is near by via a short drive on a highway yet the luxury and beauty that billionairs can't afford anywhere in the western world.
;)
Good choice dude.
So many great places to live in Australia, each with their own special attractions. Queensland does look like an awesome State. We'll hopefully get to visit there sometime soon.
Queensland is a lovely place. I would move there in a flash if I could. :)

Brisbane will also get the Queens Wharf Development completed within the next 6 years which will give the city an enhanced skyline and another nice leisure precinct.
