- The British Parliament Will Convene
Queen Elizabeth II is currently the British head of State. After a Head of State dies the Parliament usually convenes to pledge allegiance to their successor. It happened in 1952 when the Queen's father King George VI died.

Prince Charles is the next in line to succeed the Queen upon her death. When the Queen dies Prince Charles will make a speech that evening and be crowned the next morning at 11AM the next morning, after swearing an oath known as the Ascension declaration.
