Bibliothèque de la rue. By @cnandofer
Yesterday, as I was out taking a walk, I came across this colourful box full of books with the sign “Take one book, share one book”. Upon a little bit of research, I learned that is an initiative of books exchanges on the street. There is actually 69 of this boxes distributed around the streets of Québec City and apparently, they are planning to install more.
Someone already started to pinpoint this little boxes of books on Google Maps. A nice idea to get more people in the city into the habit of reading. There is no valid excuse, no more I don’t have money to buy books or I’m too lazy to walk to the library. The books are free and libraries are getting closer to the people.
