Quarashi - from the arabic word for salt – is a Norwegian rap rock band that was formed in 1998 by the brothers Mad‛One (Vegard Ylvisåker) and Bård Ylvisåker. The brothers were joined by guitarist Sigurd «Sigge» Rønnestad, bassist Havard Krokstad, drummer Morten Ristorp and keyboard player Heine Totland in January 1999.
