Today went to help a friend on a shooting session with a quadocopter at the beach...
It was really exciting to know that its quite simple to manipulate it, althogh its very sensitive to the wind and you should also be careful not to get heart from the propello when trying to catch it

What kind of drone are you using?

Did you guys take the last shot with it? If yes then it's quite effective. I'm only familiar with the larger drones.

Thank you for sharing this story with photos :) I agree that flying with quadcopter can be very exciting. I have DJI Mavic Pro. And I did Multirotor pilot certificate.
Although catching it with hand when landing is not a very good idea and is always risky especially when propellers are damaged and have micro cracks. And sensitivity for the wind is simple: the lighter is drone the more sensitivity and less stability with strong wind. For example for Phantom safe is below 15-18 m/s of wind speed and for Mavic below 12-15 m/s. For Spark I guess even less ;)
Anyway it is great that you enjoy it. Have a nice flights in the future! :)
