Hardcore transcontinental 2/158. Qīngdǎo
During yesterday noon, I lied down on a bench in front of the Parkson[百盛] department store to get over hangover. At the sunset in front of Qingdao railway station, I had Mr. Lee California Beef Noodle King USA after the rain fell. There is no cold water here, thinking that even though Korea is still suffering from drought, Korea is generous about humaneness of cold water.
It is very impressive that there are no misdemeanors, and there is no hesitation on this continent & I think here is very lenient towards jaywalking. It is natural that the water has become lukewarm because of the daytime heat. Jaywalking is a natural routine for both young and old and dogs without leash. The drivers are passing by the crosswalk without permission.
Therefore, Qingdao Station square surrounded by a fence is heterogeneous. It was wider than Seoul Station Square, & it obviously took longer time to find its way back into the square. The People's Republic of China, like the ancient Huang–Lao[黄老] politicians, contains but does not get truly involved.
I spent the night at KFC, which is open 24/7. I woke up around midnight and went to the convenience store Youke[友客], where there is a free Wi-Fi zone with mosquito swarms. Cheoeumcheoleom and C1 grapefruit were 16.5 yuan, and white boy was 15 yuan. At the first glance, Qingdao beer has eight kinds, Laoshan beer has two kinds.
Jiaozhou Bay, which I came back at night, was shaking the tide.
I heard that the Yellow Sea is deep in China, which I did not know for sure, it's trembling more than the west coast of Korea.
I returned to Youke and asked Liúzixuān[刘子萱] about the bus route to Mount Lao[崂山] and the train to the next city Qūfù[曲阜].
Bus No.321 did not arrive until the pouring rain that had been pouring from day breaks stopped. The bus still did not come, so naturally I watched the people riding on other buses. People were down to the driveway, they did not stand in one line, but they were relaxed.
When I walked to the Zhan Qiao[栈桥], I finally saw the bus No.321.
Because I waited for such a long time, I could see many places of Qingdao in a hazy sea fog.
When I passed through the new city area and near the University of Qingdao, I could find vigorous atmosphere.
The huge rocky cliffs of Laoshan, seen from afar, were unfolded all over the shade of trees. It is better than the cloud and mist of Tài Shān[泰山], but it has no meaning. Before Classic of Mountains and Seas[山海經] was written, the continent had its equivalent to each other in the same way by Taoistic Xiāoyáoyóu[逍遥游]. Laoshan is grinded into conglobately, which was seen between cloud and mist, which I found it indifferent.
In fact, Taoism in modern China is not seen in every place from the Tàiqīnggōng of Mount Lao, but rather in the Tiānhòugōng. The red desire wooden tags show how Taoism has convinced the emptiness and desire at the same time, which I found it contradictory. It is a rare value because it is limited, someone invoke a blessing which means taking away someone’s blessing, like a chair snatching.
I watched the sacrifices of the elders in the dense trees of Qingdao Zhongshan Park. Each one of them was able to take a sunshine, and the sunshine itself became a forest. And the trees do not grow through the sky. Taoism is a system of ideas that reveals the best way of self-discipline itself.
