One of the most frequently asked questions I see is "How do I get votes?" I totally understand that there is a limit to focusing on your posts, comments even being in the chat room. Sometimes you just want that chance to *Show Off what you've got directly to an audience. We'll here is your chance!!

Every Thursday there is a morning and evening session for you to join and
"Show us what you've got!"

Q: What exactly is Pimp Your Post Thursday? What do I do?

It's pretty straight forward. Simply join in the Steemit Ramble Discord for either of the Thursday sessions at 11am EST (4pm GMT) and 7pm EST (12pm GMT). Everybody attending will then get the opportunity to present a post of theirs (usually with an active payout.)

There are a few things to note:

• Your post does need to be in English
• Have a link to your favorite post ready for when you’re called on.
• Know what you want to say about the link.

Having a microphone and being ready to use the voice chat is recommended. There is only so much of a connection you can make with somebody through text. Just being able to put a voice with a name takes things to a slightly different level. {Remember my guide about 'being memorable?')

Not only this, but @shadowspub and @seablue are some of my favorite curators here on Steemit. Really, they've both spent a huge chunk of their time on here sifting through the 10,000+ posts a day to bring up the "best of the best." Anybody who feels like they are creating good content and not getting seen by other Steemians...THIS IS FOR YOU!! Tell us what your post is about...show us your passion....this is you're chance to have the spotlight!

Q: How and When do I Join?

WHEN: Every Thursday at 11am EST (4pm GMT) and 7pm EST (12pm GMT).

HOW to get into discord for the first time: (Discord is simply a program that lets you have both text and voice chats with other people.)

• Goto the Discord Website and signup for a free account (nothing asking for money or phone verification is necessary)
• Download the Discord App (this isn't required, but often reduces/fixes issues.

It is asked that everyone have a Push to Talk (so you microphone is only on when pressed) key setup in Discord. Otherwise even just the background noise would make it impossible to hear each other. This is a FANTASTIC way to get seen and likely get votes!

First, you will get to meet a whole different group of people from those you know. And what better way to get to know other people than to hear them talk about their posts...about why it's important, or meaningful or a major experience?!?!

And then it's your turn...

Don't pass up things like this! Show off something you're proud of and worked really hard on! You can't just stand there in the crowd and expect to get noticed. So you might as well get used to having the SPOTLIGHT on you!
