@DarkPylon is an 'energy pylon' of 1 SBD + 1 STEEM + 3 Vested SteemPower. It has been deployed to support the Team Esteemed (a pod of Canadian minnows) and any user that upvotes, who share the 25% curation reward. The author reward will either be Powered up or Paid out to a random members of Team Esteemed who casts a vote, or for another purpose which the Pylon post specifies. Upvoting this pylon is also an investment in the long term success of Steemit because this Pylon will not Power down (unless in the future it becomes absolutely necessary).
