World Sudoku and Puzzle Championship 2017

What's comes to your mind when you hear the word 'Puzzle'?

Some might say that they think of a highly complicated "thing" with a given set of clues which requires logic for solving. But, doesn't it make it closer to a crime? Others might say it is something which makes you think. Is it truly correct?

Hmm, let's check the Oxford dictionary for the word puzzle
Puzzle(Noun) : A game, toy, or problem designed to test ingenuity or knowledge.

Okay, that makes it a bit less ambiguous! let's become partner in the crime and think about your favourite puzzle.
What is it that makes some people like these puzzles so much?

Puzzles and brain-teaser games are a great way to tap your dopamine reserves. Anytime you win at a computer game or solve a riddle you get the 'ding, ding, ding' dopamine feeling. In your down time you can use games and puzzles to make your dopamine levels swell. Playing word games and solving puzzles not only flexes your mental muscle, it keeps the dopamine pumping.

Coming back to what the title of this post presented, it was World Sudoku and Puzzle championship 2017 from 15th to 22nd October at Bangalore India. And, boy-oh-boy, what a delight it was to experience. I decided to help as volunteer in this and it as as exciting as I thought it would be.

As I have previously mentioned that I had, probably still have, OCD for puzzles. I had it under control but after getting selected for India finals I had to accept the reality and go with the flow :D
