The objective is to fill a 9x9 grid with digits so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3x3 regions that compose the grid contains all of the digits from 1 to 9. Light Up is a binary-determination logic puzzle originally published by Nikoli. The puzzle is played on a rectangular grid of white and black cells. The solver places light bulbs in white cells, until the entire grid is lit up. A bulb sends rays of light horizontally and vertically, illuminating its entire row and column unless its light is blocked by a black cell.
