The answer is Yes, Still Very Possible. Not many from us know that PUBG is giving so much profit (Especially to Old Player ),this far i got almost $100 USD worth. 

So, for the new player? Don't worry, Here's the strategy.

1. Get better at playing, solo recommended.

           "Uh, why we need to do this point?", Of course you need them, if you are not get better at this game, you can not get Battle Point fast, go spam land in School for a full day game, don't worry if you're always dying there, you'll improved soon!.

2. Do not buy random crates (Wanderer&Survivor Crate) for now.

           "Umm...?", Yeah, despite of its low price, it is better to hold your BP (Battle Points). Whatever happened, do not buy this 2 crates, it is the right time to save as much BP as you can, (Mine 50k BPs) and wait the new crate to be updated in PUBG, Remember the Gamescom invitational crate update? Yeah, I wish i played PUBG Earlier! (Alpha) . 

Imagine we are in the old times, we are saving 100k BPs. then 3 Aug Gamescom Crate updated, Every week we could buy 6 crate (limited), we have 4 weeks to purchase it. the prices are:

• 1st Crate: 1,200 BP    |   1.200 BP * 4 Weeks  | 4.800 BP | 4 Crates
• 2nd Crate: 2,400 BP    |    3.600  BP * 4 Weeks  | 14.400 BP | 8 Crates
• 3rd Crate: 4,800 BP    |    8.400 BP * 4 Weeks  | 33.600 BP | 12 Crates
• 4th Crate: 7,200 BP    |    15.600 BP * 4 Weeks  | 62.400 BP | 16 Crates
• 5th Crate: 9,600 BP     |    25.200 BP * 4 Weeks  | 100.800 BP | 20 Crates
• 6th Crate: 12,000 BP    |    37.200 BP * 4 Weeks  | 148.800 BP | 24 Crates

From that calculation, we could get 20 crates, The price for this crate for now is $5 USD, then if you sell it now, you will earn $100 USD.

Save as much BP as you can, and spam buy when future crates arrived! You'll enjoy that.

3. Invest in Gamescom crates now! (a bit risky)

          If you dont have them right now, you may investing in them, but it's your independent decision to do it,despite it's running out of stock slowly, and price will obviously increase.

At point 2, I suggested you to not buy crates (Wanderer & Survivor crate), but saving 1 or 2 each type may get you rich in the future, because there is a chance these box no longer available to buy just like pioneer crate.

Possible Things in PUBG Future:

1. Gamescom Invitational Crate will go up to $200 USD each (High Chance)

Remember Playerunknown's Set Crate History? They are now so rare, so the price is so crazy. And hopely many people opens many Gamescom invitational Crates so they will go as rare as Playerunknown's Set Crate.

2. Gamescom Invitational Crate price will get dumped of some reason (Low Chance)

If they re-sell them in game, the price will be dumped until $1 USD or less, but dont worry i have this image to make this prediction weak

3. Wanderer crate & Survivor crate will rise in price one day (Low+ Chance)

As you can see image in point 2 above, there are saying 

"and we will announce at a later date if these two crates will no longer be available for purchase in the future"

its only "If" but why dont we save one or two of them.
