Knee osteoarthritis, It is chronic degenerative disease that may affects the articular cartilage of the knee, who causing the pain on knee, it may be a cause of stiffness and limited mobility between knee bone. Knee osteoarthritis characterized by the wearing away of the cartilage that's covers to the bones of knee and leading to the direct contact between the bones & the formation of abnormal bone growths.
Diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis
To diagnose knee osteoarthritis we can take help from medical experts and the patient's medical history may be assessed, including the symptoms of this disease, family history of patients because it can be a cause of genetics. Through this we can diagnose knee osteoarthritis.
And the second one we can diagnose this by some physical examinations such as the mobility and the strength and sensitivity of the knee are evaluated. We can diagnose this disease by the X-rays image that are used to visualize the condition of cartilage & the bones of knee.
We can also diagnose this disease through MRI text and treatments and some assessment tests as well, that are used to the evaluate the cartilage, the ligaments, and the tendons of the knee. Through some assessment tests such as the McMurray test, which assesses the knee stability we can diagnose this disease.
