Ela foi emitida para comemorar os 50 anos do monumento.
Seu obverso mostra uma vista de Mount Rushmore. A escultura de Gutzon Borglum mostra os bustos dos Presidentes George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt e Abraham Lincoln.
No reverso vemos o Grande Selo dos Estados Unidos. Há uma estrela indicando o local de Mount Rushmore.
Foram emitidas 738,419 moedas em San Francisco. O preço de lançamento foi de U$31,00 e o preço atual é cerca de U$160,00 neste grau.
