The core of great art is usually all about inversion. Every time of the way we have a status quo in the society and the artists and the innovators who will stand out this are those that overturn the standard in a compelling way.

In life, many of us think avoiding failure is not possible thereby we overvalued success. In this piece, I will share with you why you need to look at the other side of success to make a good success in the journey of life.

There is a billionaire investor I read about called Charlie Munger he's a man that looks at the other side of success and ask some questions from his staffs. What do you wish to avoid? So he asked the people he controls... Many looks at it as a simple answer and say sloth and unreliability. You will agree with me if you are unreliable whether you have good virtues, you are going to crater immediately.

My profession as a facility manager make me believe that in success in maintenance is as a result of what we called proactiveness and reliable process on the ground and this does not actually require smartness or maybe you are fast or talented before you can be successful there, it's just the degree of preventive measure you planned. Now, you will agree with me that why people fail in life it's more important than focusing on why they succeed.

There are many benefits having two sides thought towards a particular matter especially when you are facing with difficult task or jobs. It's your understanding that stands your stand in the journey of life.

The list of benefit forward and backward thought brought to us is huge but I will only summarize them right here.

Take for example, in a workplace when leaders ask themselves what can someone do every day so as to become a terrible manager? That's sound strange? Lol... Let me tell you what my mind reveal here: if you have such question on your table and you really want to become a good leader every point they listed you will want to guide against in other to become a good and not a terrible leader.

In a similar way, in business model innovation is the core piece and as a business owner you may ask your colleague, how can we make this company less innovative? To say the true if you ask this question, they look at you like you are insane but reality shows that when you ask negative questions there lies the success most times because you will always seek to work against that list that will make you fail.

When you eliminate what you know as barriers and obstacles this will definitely aid your creativity and increase your ideas more quickly. Looking at your projects, business and ask yourself what are the errors, mistakes that I need to avoid? Let me say this, friends! Inversion is not all about seeking for good advice but its all about anti-advice. It will always teach you things to avoid in the journey of life.

Like I ended it on my first part of this journal, I will not want to bombard you with too many thought on this topic, so I will stop here and my next study will some more ways we can actually utilize inversion in real life situation.
