They can't have the peasants being healthy. They purposely force most of the workers into inhumane quotas (as if they were machines) while feeding them fuels designed to promote disease, medicines to treat symptoms while creating their own new diseases from the newer religion of medicine. A sickly, stressed field of cattle who are trained to let others think for them, while bouncing from foreign induced highs and lows are cattle who for the most part are unaware/unable to realize they are cattle, let alone that maybe they should look into the idea at many levels it is done with consent.

Everyone is now empowered to be tired and unhappy.
