Sherlock Holmes, Genius?

According to speculative assumption, Sherlock Holmes' predicted IQ was 140. That being said, does a high IQ score stand as the basis by which a Genius may be classified? Certainly not, as the human brain is still an unknown territory.

The main reasons why Sherlock Holmes stands the test of time, rests on his investigative methods;

• Science of Deduction.
• Observation.
• Mind Palace. 

Sherlock Holmes' mind was unique, however, that doesn't mean that mere mortals cannot apply his methods of investigative inquiry. We all have innate powers that are only activated once we acknowledged our gifts. Sherlock Holmes had enough self-awareness to know what his gifts were, and he perfected them everyday.

There have been many smart people in history, both fictional and non-fictional, and Sherlock Holmes was just an addition to that history. Now it's up to us to apply Shelock's methods in our everyday lives, to become more beneficial for society, ourselves, and our families.
