I less mind persons who speak quickly than I mind persons who have little sense of decency when it comes to respecting their responsibility to allow others their chance to speak.

Fast-talkers (and more-so loud-talkers) can make a very bad habit of interrupting others mid-sentence in an effort to shut them down.

These are the kinds of persons whose mics should be turned way down while being flagged for bad debate ethics so that both the abuser and the audience get a sense for what is or is not acceptable.

As for fast-speakers, it would be interesting to see support debate analysis programs break that quick-speak into easier understood paraphrase and supporting analysis for the rest of us to dwell upon. ^_^ Kind of like what some YouTubers do.
