There's No Time like the Present to be In the Present!

If you're depressed, that's because you're not living in the present moment. You cannot change the past, but you can surely learn from it and try your best to perform better In the present. There's also no point in worrying about the future, because worrying won't solve anything at all. Worrying is one of the most counter-productive activities out there. Worrying creates stress, negative stress which leads to feelings of depression.

If you live in and focus on the present moment, your thoughts are not tainted with the shortfalls of past or future events. Worrying incessantly about things which are out of the locus of your control is self-destructive. Worrying never solved anything. It only impedes what you are trying to positively construct. We're all creators. We create and our environment reciprocates. Reciprocation by our environment will not always be according to our expectations.

Our expectations are not reality. Reality can best be described as the collective-consciousness of all living things that roam this planet. We all perceive reality in a different way because we all have varied perceptions. If you're struggling or depressed, part of it might have to do with setting up unrealistic expectations for yourself. The only way to break out of it is to be content with putting in your best effort given the cards that you're dealt.

You cannot change the world, but you can change the way that you react to it. React by living in the present moment.

Good post. To add on this will teach a person good character. It is very difficult to do good in a bad situation, but focus as much of your energy and thought into the current situation to deal with it in a positive way is only possible if deep down inside you are good.

Rome was not built in a day. Character will not come out good just in an instance either. By appreciating what you have now and able to react to what is happening around you at this current moment takes consistent work to build up. Don't feel bad if you had one bad moment or one bad decision. Build on the good ones.

Yes, no need to feel bad about "one bad moment or one bad decision" like you say. Should not waste time regretting things we can't change. Just lift your head up high and and channel your thoughts and energy in a positive direction.

The power of thought is the key to creating personal reality. Everything you see in the physical world comes from the invisible inner world of thoughts and beliefs. To become a master of your destiny, you must learn to control the nature of your usual dominant thoughts. Thus you will attract into your life the aspects to which you are going because you know the truth, your thoughts create your reality.

Although we cannot always control all the thoughts that come to us, negative or positive, we can choose which thoughts we want to follow. We can choose to follow the positive and constructive thoughts, which will help us become more successful and content with our lives.
