What is hypothetical thinking?
It is a skill that we develop at an early age in our lives, at approximately 11-12 years of age.
Where we learn to develop formal operations and begin to reason not only about the real, about the given, but also about the possible, that is, about what has not happened but could happen.
So what is hypothetical reasoning?
It is when we use conditionals as "if ..., then ...".
These hypothetical conditionals may never develop but we always study the possibility of it happening.
How do we use it daily?
Easy, every day when we are going to make a decision we study all the combinations of a set of elements and thus we discover the best alternative.
A tool that helps solve problems.
We analyze more the causes of a question, the objective we want to reach and the result we want to obtain.
In conclusion all human beings have the ability to maximize the development of hypothetical thinking to deepen the study. For example, in various mathematical questions, or what we like most that we want to explore.
This is a gift that we have ahead of the animals, we should all better use this gift and connect with our intuition.
