The opinion we have about ourselves is, in most cases, completely different from reality. One example is thin people who have a view of themselves totally distorted and, therefore, develop diseases such as anorexia, by themselves as overweight.

This obsession with wanting to fit models imposed by society is a major source of suffering for many people. But this does not happen only in relation to physical appearance.

Many are those who consider themselves incapable and inferior to others, for failing to meet the high expectations that their parents one day imposed them. Living in the eternal attempt to conform to what we expect is the shortest way to frustration, anxiety and depression.

The only way to protect ourselves from this conditioning is to undo the negative view we cherish about us. The self-acceptance is the first step to develop self-esteem and self-confidence to act in the world.

If the physical appearance is a constant source of dissatisfaction, it is necessary to investigate the reasons for this and what paths are available to modify this feeling. The change, of course, depends on a lot of discipline and willpower, which not everyone has, because negative emotions usually immobilize.

Use a therapeutic process can be very useful and, in this case, depends on a further ingredient, which is humility, that is, to recognize that you need help, that alone can not do the job.

When the difficulty does not refer to the physical, but the lack of confidence in the talents and skills that have to overcome may require an even greater effort, as it relates to the question of survival.

The professional performance is the way we express our self in the material world and guarantee ourselves a decent life. Not coincidentally, the house of the astrological map that governs the area of work is also what defines our health.

Having a job that will bring us the feeling of accomplishment is an essential requirement for our inner balance and, consequently, the health of our physical body, as both issues are closely related.

The key, then, is what kind of vision I have about myself? If the answer is not so, it must seriously reflect on what steps need to tread to build a positive self-image, since without it the happiness becomes impossible.
