Mediators do not choose the conflicts they became involved in, but the parties to the conflict choose the mediator. Their participation as intermediaries is based on the trust of all the conflicting parties.
Thanks for pointing that out one more time. Have you been involved in a mediation yourself? If so, I would be interested in your experience. Maybe I could put that into the next article of this series. Thank you in advance:-)
