People bring up a lot of misconceptions about this subject
You’re right, quite a number of people with excessive pride are actually weak people pretending or acting to be strong and brave
But there are also people of this nature that are not particularly all negative, like Kanye West
Self confidence is magical
People with high self confidence or self belief, have a great amount of believe in themselves that they believe only in their own rules, and I totally agree with this, for I have a greater believe in the intuitive mind than the rational mind
But the issue here is that most people of this trait, find it difficult to balance it all with the views of the society and so they become labeled as arrogant, selfish or proud

Well that actually depends on how they interact with others, there is a slight difference between having self confidence and having excessive pride to the point of becoming arrogant.
