“It’s not about the Now, its About the Future!” - Words Of Wisdom SHOW Episode 10

Good morning! Happy Monday everyone!!! Happy Week! My name is Kyriakos Kyriakides, Founder of the Team LEGACY, your mentor and your coach! This is another episode of Words Of Wisdom SHOW!

A new week just started! Do you know how lucky we are because is Monday? Do you know how blessed we are because is Monday? Every new week bring us new opportunities and new chances to change our life to the better! Every new week we are able to hit the restart button and start chasing our goals and dreams from the beginning! It doesn’t matter if last week was shit! It doesn’t matter if we didn’t achieve what we wanted last week! Today is Monday, so we can do the best we can do, and be sure that you will be rewarded! “All you can do is all you can do! And all you can do is enough!”

Today we have episode 10! Today’s episode is ideal for Mondays! The reason is because today’s topic it’s very important to give you that drive in order to do your best this week! Our today’s topic is this quote: “It’s not about the Now, its About the Future!” Of course this may sound wrong to most people but let me collaborate with you on this.

Living in the present, and living each moment without worrying about the future or thinking the past is how we need to live each moment of our lives. We need to focus and live the NOW and not the Future or the Past. I am going to do also an episode for this specific topic really soon.

The topic for today is when you want to do something important in your life, when you want to create a legacy for you and your family when you leave this world! Today I am going to talk to you When You Want to Do Something greater than you, and also I am going to explain you the 2 categories of naysayers that exist in the world.

Today I am talking to the people that are working hard for something greater. Today I am talking to the people that are planning long term in their life, and they don’t just plan how to have a short term fun, and only plan for the weekend! I am sure you heard from your family or your friends things like: "We don't see you so much now", "Take a break", "Don't work so hard", "We don't see you in the club anymore", "What you do doesn't work", "You focus on becoming rich", "Money don't bring happiness", and so many other bullshits. Don’t get discouraged from those sentences, and don’t give up on your dreams! Those people, maybe is your family, friends, or just people that you know. Those people don’t have your dream, that’s why they are talking like this. Those people are called The Naysayers!

Every person that is successful right now had the Same Naysayers as you do! Successful people still have Naysayers, but they just learned how to ignore them. What you need to develop, it’s also the skill to ignore those naysayers too! Most of the time naysayers are your family and friends. There is also a portion of naysayers that are the people that are just jealous, and are afraid to see you succeed, because they gave up on their dream. I like to separate naysayers into 2 categories: a) Your Family & Friends, b) The Other People.

Today I am going to focus on explaining you these 2 different categories of naysayers. The first category is, your Friends and Family. It took me some time to understand this category. Why they act like this. Why they say what they say. Your friends and family they are not doing this in order to hurt you. They don’t intend to pull you down, or destroy your dream. They think that what you do, it’s just waste of time, and they want to “Save you”! And you have to be grateful for how they act because this means that they care (most of the times). But of course you don’t have to listen to them! This is YOUR DREAM, not theirs! YOU have this dream, not them! This dream was GIVEN TO YOU, not to them! So if your family and friends don’t understand what you are doing and why, don’t be mad with them. Of course don’t listen to them too! This is your dream! The dream that you have wasn’t given to you by accident. This dream was given to you by a higher power so you can make it a reality! You saw Steve Job's story, Elon Musk's, Oprah Winfrey's, and so many other successful people! All of them had naysayers in their family and their friends! They just didn’t listen to them, and they had faith to their dream and in their purpose! Have faith to your dream and purpose too! Your family and friends will only understand what you are doing, and why you are doing it, once you become successful! So if you really want them to understand, succeed with your dream!

Now there this second category, that I call “The Other People”! “The Other People” is anyone else that you know, but is not a true friend of yours or family. “The Other People” are driven mostly from jealousy. Those people are poisonous people that they are scary to death to see you succeed. Those are the people that they already gave up on their dreams, and seeing you chasing yours, it is really scary for them! They are so afraid to see you succeed, because they know that if they didn’t give up they would succeed too! Those are the people that you come in contact once and a while in your life, but they don’t give you value. Usually every time you discuss with them they only make you feel like shit. They only make you feel like you are doing something wrong. My suggestion for those people CUT them from your life! Just delete them! You don’t need them! Why do you need them for? They are not doing something good in your life. They just want to pull you down from your dreams. In order for you to rise, you need to cut some weights! And those poisonous people are only extra weight on your shoulders! Cut them from your life and you will see how more beautiful and positive you will feel. Always remember that it’s them that are doing something wrong. Not you. It’s them that gave up on their dream or don’t even have a dream. Not you. In the beginning you will feel uncomfortable by cutting those people from your life, but I can guarantee you it’s worth it.

As I said in the beginning, you are doing something greater than you! You are doing something bigger than you! You know your purpose and you work for your purpose. Feel uncomfortable now, so you will be comfortable for the rest of your life. Grind and hustle now, and enjoy your hard work for the rest of your life! You are building your LEGACY! You are building long term! Stay focus to your dream and don’t give up until you achieve it!
