Psychology: A Must-study Subject
It goes like this..
Talking about my interests, I am fond of stuffs like Computers, Technology - Programming .. Arts .. Architecture .. and of course, Psychology. But I do not want to be in the strand/track of Arts and Design nor Technical Vocational Livehood (Tech-Voc)..
Two courses are on top of my interest list – Architecture and Psychology. If you’ll ask about the percentage – it would probably be 50% , 50%.
But with my decision for Senior High School, I chose Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) over Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).. just to escape Calculus (Just kidding!) .. which means, I am in the line of Psychology for now. But honestly, I do not really know if that would really be my course in College.. Time and my experience would tell.
“Psychology”
Why should we study Psychology?
Surely, many take this as a course with the objective to help other people with their problems. But that's not the point, first - studying Psychology will help you get a better hold of yourself. Understanding yourself on top of all with this is a better objective - after that, helping others easily would follow immediately.
To reach the hearts of other people and assess their problems through his words and deeds.
Since.. as stated.. it is the study of mind and behavior, Psychology would make you better in communication.. as it includes - thoughts, emotions, feelings, movements.. and languages. If it is easy to read, it would be easy to respond.
It exercises your mind into critical thinking and problem solving. With every case to solve, it is equivalent to a healthier mind.
Psychology is one fun matter! I agree to this, it is indeed relieving that we can understand a complex mind with such simple experiments. It would feel like exploring the vast space of the human mind.
RECAP : Reasons to study Psychology :
“A wonderful fact to reflect upon, that every human creature is constituted to be that profound secret and mystery to every other.” ― Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities
According to a HUMSS Student, there are two types of Psychology. In the side of Bachelor of Science and another from the Arts.
