Your brain doesn't believe you

He doesn't believe you, your brain that is. Look no matter what you want to do in life your brain needs to be on board. This biological super computer that we've been gifted with isn't just for show. Most organisms are given a brain in order to do tasks like process information, regulate organ performances and bodily functions. Thats only a modicum of activities your brain does.
So what do I mean by "he doesn't believe you." When I say this I'm referring to your subconscious mind. The subconscious is a powerful part of your brain that does the background operations that you aren't consciously aware of. Like right now you aren't thinking "I need to breath" because your just doing it. (Well shit, maybe now you're thinking of breathing because I mentioned it).
Did you ever tell yourself, "I'm going to get a 4.0 gpa this semester and never slack off ever again." Then 2 weeks before the semester concludes you find yourself scrambling to pass? What happened?

I'll have you know that your brain didn't believe you. While yes, consciously you wanted to do well, subconsciously not so much. Subconsciously you didn't have the discipline and habits of what an 'A' student would have. The subconscious mind rules and has dominion over most of your body. If this is the case, how can you use it to your advantage?

Repetition. When you are exposed to a stimulus long enough, it goes into your subconscious and your brain accepts it as a standard. No matter what, there's no morality involved here, good or bad your brain accepts it. If you want to get anything useful done repeat repeat repeat.

Those who are successful just simply have better habits. There is no magic pill. Make your brain believe you through repetition.
