Interesting read. Uncertainty is difficult for me to embrace, even though I enjoy variety and consider myself a pretty spontaneous person. I'm not sure I try to predict the future though. I'll probably start noticing it though now that I've read this. I'm sure there's a psychological reason for that as well :)
I kept recommending people to read Kahneman's book Thinking Fast and Slow. it's illuminating. it gives you a sense of how much of our behavior is not under our direct control.
