Interesting comment on a collective reap what we sow. In improv we call it 'group mind'. The group can communicate with each other without words. Other schools do something similar and call it 'Viewpoints'. It is a way of listening to each other, allowing the group to dictate the momentum and expression of an improvised piece. If one is out of step with the group mind, then one will not be aware of the what the group is trying to say or do. Therefor in group games or overall shows that are empowered by group mind, one attempts not to lead or follow but simply exist and do. The individual is important to the point that they join the group mind. When the collective unspoken is allowed to speak, then we reach a higher expression that empowers the experience of the audience. They are no longer watching individual egos jockeying for approval, they are witnessing a larger expression on the human condition that can not explained, but experienced to be appreciated.
