People always want to know the truth in every situation but sometimes the truth is hurtful and it kind of makes one a little worried to share it.
It becomes a very big problem actually to tell people the truth they so want to hear knowing it will only hurt them. The big question is:

Should i tell them?

I am one who agrees with the principle to always tell the truth no matter what. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. It will be much worse to let the people you are lying to figure you out. So i will go with tell the truth no matter what since it does not only satisfying to the individuals concerned but gives you peace too.
It is not easy to hide something from someone you are close to and you will always feel uneasy around them. So as they say

You shall know the truth and it shall set you free

It does not only apply to the individual receiving the truth but also the individual delivering it. So it is all connected to both parties. Telling the truth can really be a difficult and tough call to make especially when one is bound to be hurt but trust me the pain will be much worse when that individual finds out someone they trust has been lying to them. So i will go for the truth all the way even if it hurts.
Any reasonable person that will be hurt if you tell them the truth is also bound to be hurt even more if they ever discover you lied to them. So instead of creating another more disastrous mess why not just try to clean up the one already at hand?
Tell the truth even if it hurts or people reject it or scorn you or get angry etc. It is not wise to flatter with lies but more honourable to hurt someone with the truth. They might cry at that moment, feel hurt but will appreciate you someday for your honesty.
