A very wise old man once told his friend:
Look better at the room we're in, and try to memorize how many brown things are here.

There was a lot of brown stuff in the room, and the friend performed the task with ease. But the old wise man gave him the following task:
And now he closes his eyes and counts blue things.

The friend has lost his temper and has revolted:
I did not notice anything of blue color because I only memorized the brown stuff!

And the wise man answered him,

  • Open your eyes and look - there are many blue things in the room.
    And it was true.

The old man continued:
If you've only looked for brownish things in the room, and in life - just bad, then you will only see bad, you will only notice bad, and this evil and this brown color will follow you everywhere. Remember: If you only look bad, you will surely find it and you will no longer see anything good around you.

of course, we only see what our heart feels... thank you for this post

Baader-Meinhof is the phenomenon where one happens upon some obscure piece of information-- often an unfamiliar word or name-- and soon afterwards encounters the same subject again, often repeatedly.

Excellent, very good example - seem like our lives.
Sometimes people do not see what's right under their eyes, they look for things that look just distance and then miss everything that is right in front of them.
