Life’s to do list...
Today I thought I’d share some of the items on my to do list for life. I understand that yours may be different however the point of having a to do list for life is to keep yourself focused on the things you have set as important to you. Having a goal and plan to achieve it is the best way to move forward and writing a to do list of goals and life-focuses for yourself is a great place to start.
These are just a few I have and to be honest I don’t generally write them down. I just have them in my head and apply them as often as I can in an attempt to be the best version of me as often as possible.
Maybe someone reading this might feel a little inspired and begin their own list, or maybe not.

We mice reckon you are the type of guy who is always on the lookout for new cheese, Galenkp.
Sniff and Scurry
LB
🤣😅 we love it LB.
Sniff and Scurry.
Hey @sniffnscurry, I've spent some time in the maze, and have always found that in moving beyond my fear I feel more free to feel the refreshing breeze within the maze. I'm then more able to imagine the new cheese I'm seeking, even before I've actually found it which, as you would well know, leads me to the new cheese.
Thanks for your comment, and upvote. I am very grateful.
I agree with you @sniffnscurry cheese Age is something that is not important unless you are cheese
I absolutely love this @galenkp!!
So much to being a good person dates back to all the thing we learned in kindergarten...I think someone wrote a book about that once ;)
This one made me smile. Why doesn't everyone read a post? Really!! I'm looking for someone to help me out with that one. Is it just being lazy??
Love it!! Somehow we've become a society who simply houses the elderly instead of honouring them and learning from their life. It's such a shame. There used to be a retirement home near the high school where I taught and I found out there were veterans living there. I used to take my grade 8's there regularly just to sit and chat and learn. It was lovely!!
I love all of the things on your to-do list that have to do with really living life and taking responsibility for it, and the ones about giving back and helping others....so perfect!!
I wish everyone had a list like this, and actually lived by it!
Thanks Lynn. I'll admit that sometimes I fall short of the mark when attempting to hit this list however a wise man once said, "aim for the stars and hit the moon" so I think in general I do pretty well.
Spending time with older people has a double advantage as it gives them some reward through company and the enjoyment of imparting their wisdom, and I gain that wisdom. It's a win-win.
I also think #11 and #12 are important to deploy in conjunction with each other.
My to do list constantly changes with changes in my life however the ones on this list are consistently present.
Thanks for reading and commenting. Hope you have a great Wednesday.
Ahh we all fall short sometimes...it's called being human :) At least you are aware, and that's a whole lot more than most!
Yes, the "double-advantage" with spending time with older people. It really is a "win-win".
And 11 and 12; "you are all you need to be" should be words we all use when facing the mirror in the morning, and "take action...simple belief is not enough", another Bingo!! It's easy to believe, but it takes a lot more strength and courage to do!!
I did have a great Tuesday, because Wednesday is just starting here...weird haha, but thank you anyway. Brian had lots of energy, we went for a long walk on the beach, had a bite to eat and a couple drinks before heading home. Just like the 'old days'. Makes my heart happy ;)
I hope you're having a great-whatever-day-it-is-there!
Nice post, you big contribution! keep it up. me vote you, you vote me back
I think it would be a good exercise for everyone to make their own list. I've never made one. I should probably wait awhile though until I've forgotten everything on your list. Otherwise, that would be cheating. :)
I agree. I also think that it's ok for people to have some of the same things on their lists; They're transferrable.
Should have included "Read a post before commenting".
So sick of that.
Oh yeah, how annoying is that!
I like this idea. It is good to have something to motivate and focus us all i think.
Keeping the most important things front and center ensures that they get the attention they deserve. Thanks for reading and commenting.
Keeping a goal in one's life is imp as it behave like a center and you have to make all of your efforts to revolve around it..
I like #13. That's a good one. Makes me glad that I read this before posting a comment. Phew! ;)
That's a good list, man. I like that you're making an intentional effort to spend time with older people. They have a lot of wisdom they would love to share. It's important for us and for them to take the time to listen to what they have to say.
Also, being present in everyday life and being responsible for yourself are both great goals. Really all of them were good goals. Good for you, man. You need a cool slogan for your life... like "Design and create your ideal life, don’t live it by default!" :D
You crack me up
I’m glad you picked up on the + 65 year old thing. People older than ourselves have so much to impart to those who listen.
Number 13 will shock and surprise you.
I think I would add - laugh and play often, dont take life so seriously.
But thats just my thoughts - they are all valid points and reminders.
Your list is your own and adding personal items to your to do list is totally legit.
