Pride is definitely a funny thing and really can sneak up on us! I had a few bosses with this Overestimation of competence...lol. Over time, they thought that they were entitled to certain privileges because they thought things would collapse without them. Instead of putting the interests of others first, they ended up putting their own interests first. But pride caused them to make careless and needless mistakes. And they got fired.
