A Wish Of Death -- EUTHANASIA | Should It Be Legalized ?

Life is the best gift and virtue given to the humankind by GOD itself. Considered the most precious 'thing' in this World, the gift of life is irreplaceable. No one is willing to give their life for anything valuable in return. For everyone, remain healthy and survival for life is the ultimate goal. So why would a person wish for death? 

Well, there are many circumstances arises in many people's lives which compels them to end their life. I am not talking about the circumstances where a person lost his job, failed his examinations, lost his house, fortune, wealth, spouse or even children. Of course these circumstances are indeed difficult and painful but I am talking about when a person himself suffers from a terminal illness which has possibly no cure and which is eating that person alive slowly and painfully like Cancer, AIDS, heart failure, kidney failure and many more. 

Sometimes these diseases so much pain that a person demands a quick death for themselves instead of a slow and painful death. So, let's show some light on this issue:

What Is Euthanasia?

Euthanasia is a practice or an act of ending a person's life who is suffering from some terminal disease which has no cure available. So in order to relieve them from the unbearable pain, patient demands a deliberate suicide and fulfilling this wish of their's are known as Euthanasia. 

Euthanasia is illegal in English law and can't be practiced by any doctor or surgeon on their patient. If practised by any doctor, it will attract the same punishments as of Murder which is Life imprisonment. 

There are a lot of controversies going on this topic since ages and still Euthanasia is not legalized in many countries. Although many countries has legalized it including Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Luxembourg, Japan and some more countries. But most of the countries still sees it like a Taboo. 

Why Is It So? Is Euthanasia Really A Taboo?

I don't think so. As per my belief, a person has a full right to end his life if he wants to. If a person is an adult and have a sound mind, suffering from a terminal disease which has no cure in sight and causing him unbearable pain for years, then without a second thought that person has a full right of Euthanasia or Assisted suicide. 

Because the outside world has no idea about the pain he's suffering from and what he has been gone through in recent years. Yes, if there's a cure of that disease, then in no condition Euthanasia should be allowed. But if it is a terminal disease which would only progress with time then A person should have a full right as to end his own life. 

Reasons Why Should Government Legalize Euthanasia?

There are a few reasons on the top of which government should consider legalizing the act of Euthanasia:

Sake Of Humanity

We are all humans and we value the importance of humanity. We value lives more than anything. But if a person's life has become a hell and he's going through a lot of pain just because of a terminal disease which has no end and the outcome is sure death, then why wouldn't he allowed to end his own life. Why people want him to suffer more until he die eventually? 

Ending a pain striking life is also Humane. Government should understand this logic and legalize Euthanasia for the sake of humanity.

Legalization In Other Countries

Euthanasia has been legalized in many countries as I have mentioned above. Of course, those governments also did a lot of thinking to legalize it in the end. They also valued life but after some logical thinking and putting some irrational behavior aside, they legalized it eventually because they know the pain of suffering. 

Although a person can flee to other countries if he really wants to end his life because other countries law can be imposed a person in that country.

So, according to these reasons, I believe Euthanasia legality should be considered by the government all over the World immediately because a lot people still in some terminal disease phase of their life and waiting for their deaths to come. Their pain and suffering has made this life a hell to them. So, Personally I believe it should at least considered by the government over its legality.
