People with big ego has mental issues

About 2 years ago, Kinabalu Reds a Liverpool FC Fan Club based in Sabah, iniated a Blood Donation Drive outside a famous Supermarket at Millenium, Penampang. Unfortunately, due to my work commitment, I was unable to participate and support my fellow Kops that day.

Kinabalu Reds, just like any other football fan clubs has its own Fan Page in Facebook. Me and the other fans loves to chat about the club, the players and its managers and other things such as current events and each others ideas and interests. One day, I asked about the Blood Donation Drive and one of the guy who was part of the team who organized it, excitedly told me every inch of details that had happened that day. I was told that there were a few shameful incidents too, when they were being mocked at by some members of the public.

Unsurprisingly, the peoples who have mocked them are non other than fans of other football clubs. I just can't believe it when I was told about it. Why can't these people put aside the difference for a while and support a cause that will benefits others and theirselves too? What if in the next minute or the next hour, these same people who mocked the volunteers got involved with an accident and in need of blood? Do you think they will be given blood based on the football club that they supported? Absolutely not.

I guess, people who behaves like this has an ultimate ego issues. They are blinded by their ego till they can't seem to think straight and differentiate between something good and bad, beneficial and unbenificial to them. Supporting a good cause is truly commendable as it benefits people who really needs it. Giving unappropriate reasons for not supporting, such as differences in ideology, politics, religions, ethnics or even the color of your skins are inexcusable.
