Love it! Wish more people were talking about this. I think a history of psychiatry and how this new "germ model" arose as basically a publicity stunt after people were disgusted with the institutionalization model (which ironically may have been more human than the current one) in an attempt to convince people they were "real doctors" would be an enjoyable to read.
Yeah, both models have been horrid in terms of human rights violations. However, arguably, the psychiatric medical model has been pretty barbaric. Thanks for the commentary, sir.
