Zmak Royal 2018 : So proud of my friends

Many years ago there were some friends in Thessaloniki that loved pro-wrestling and were gathering from time to time to watch together Pay-Per-Views. Everybody would support his favorite wrestler and we would have one hell of a time.

And we would dream of performing not in the grandest stage of them all, but in a stage, in front of a crowd. Fast forward yesterday and one of us made it.

And the rest of us were there to there to enjoy the show and be happy for his accomplishment.

First match of the show El Greco vs Kostikas. El Greco is a great wrestler ...

But Kostikas managed to overcome the hurdle and win the match.

Then there were those guys talking and throwing away caramels. I got lucky.

Next match Apollonas vs Kriton. Kriton won though vis Disqualification because Apollonas wouldn’t release a hold.

The next match was very special. The Metalheads Guns’n’Maiden were against the modern hipsters The Twins.

The team that would lose, would have to spend a whole night in a night club of choice of the other team. It was back and forth and finally, our boys the Metalheads won the match, so The Twins would have to spend a night in the heaviest metal clubs of Athens.

Such a fun match.

And now to some serious stuff. The Zmack Champion F.B.I. defended his title against this dude in red shirt named Papas, I think.

He retained the tittle, but he was attacked by Mr Peris who challenged him for the belt.

The champion was beat up and exhausted and this gave the opportunity to El Greco to cash out a contract for a championship match and thus become the new Zmack champion.

After a small intermission, we had the Zmack Royal Match. Two wrestlers started off and every 90 seconds a new one would enter the match for a total of 30 participants. You were eliminated if you were thrown off the top rope and both feet touched the ground.

It was spectacular match.

Many people in the ring , some great spots and an almost very serious injury, but thankfully the guy is all right.

And the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Goliath entered the ring. He brought pain and destruction and we cheered him like there was no tomorrow.

He had a face off with the Butcher, I guess they will start a feud anytime soon.

He was accompanied by his manager Mr. Ion.

To our disappointment Goliath didn’t won, even though he would deserve it. I am sure he will have his opportunity.

For the record Spyros Louis won the match and a chance for a championship match within a year.

I am so happy for my long friend Alexis, I know this is his dream come and I wish him all the best. He is a future champ no doubt about that.

And until we all make our dreams come true…
