The slum boy is the story of an intelligent boy from a poor background. his encounter and friendship with dove son of an American multimillionaire expatriate give him something to compare with and compete for .he dares the obstacles and reaches for the top.
Episode 1
Mike, aged twelve, was the only child of his parent .his father, mr okafor, worked for a construction. company in the outskirts of the city. the company was owned by a whiteman called mr wood. when mike first learnt that the name of his father boss was mr.wood. he was taken a backwood? he had never in his wildest imagination thought that a person, could be bearing wood.
This morning; mr okafor prepared to go his office, mike asked, dad, why is your boss called. Mr wood is that is real name?
“mike, you have come again okafor said as he did the lace of his shoes. He added “my boss is a white man.he is an American.the whiteman people hear anything to that appeals to them. names like wood hall stone fish rice are common among them ,it nothing”
“Woodhall fish rice stone…….”mike listen incredibly.
“Are you surprised?.mr okafor continued, my former boss Is also a whiteman. His name is mr .bull
“Bull”.mike said in strong disbelief “the name for a male cow?
“Yes”
“he chose the dame for himself to honor and immortalize a bull who saved his life when he was a young child”
A stunning expression jumped on mike’s face.
“the dull still living” mike asked curiously
“no he had died for him to live”

“according to him he said he would have been killed by a reckless driver when he was small but for a bull who jumped on the food from a near by bush and was hit instead of him so in order not to forget the bull and his good work. he had to change his name from bill to bull”mr okafor said conclussilly.
Mike broke into an uncontrollable laughter
“nid your boss to give the bull a befitting burial? that savior shouldn’t die like an ordinary animal” mike said contemptuously amidst laughter.
“go and ask mr bull” mr okafor responded himself amused.
He finished doing his shoe and hurried out to his place of work.
