Truth Does Not Need To Be Argued

I've come to realize
that
Truth
does not need to be
argued,
it need only be
spoken.

It is not my duty
to convince;
it is up to each of us
to open up
ourselves.

The shaky foundation
of false 'truth'
will eventually
erode away
with sunlight
and the weathering
from reality.

Truth
cannot be truly
silenced.
It can be muted –
sometimes
for a very long time --
or plastered over
with muck
and shit
and lipstick,
but the obscurities
will one day
wash away.

Like energy
or matter,
Truth cannot be
destroyed –
it is a constant
all its own.
It will be resurrected
by a different mind
in another time
in many ways
until it is accepted
and respected.

The Truth
will lie dormant,
patient
as long as it takes
before it is able to be
perceived
and received.
Force isn't necessary
to bring it forward,
and force against it
is futile
in the end.

So take heart
Truth-tellers:
if what you speak
is really true
then the Universe
is on your side.
Lie-spinners
and propagandists
and bullshit artists
will strain
and heave
and suffer
trying to make
the Truth
fit their desires
and ideologies
and dogmas.

But You:
you are able to smile
and flow
and allow
the Truth
to move through you.
You
are one of the trickles
that will
someday
break the dam.
You
are one of the drops
that drips,
part of the plot
that finally
flips the script.

So rest easy,
my friend.
The tide may feel like
it's against you
but it will recede,
pulling back
and revealing
what's really at the
bottom.
You are so brave
treading these stormy seas;
I know it is hard
to keep your head
above
water;
how easy it would be
to float wherever the swells
may siege.

But the Truth
doesn't care
about our opinions
or popularity
or prestige
or decorum
or how inconvenient it is –
it simply awaits
for you,
or me,
or any vessel
with the courage
and authenticity
to carry it through
as far as it can
in the best way it can,
and then pass it on.

Thank you
dear lion-hearts,
your life
truly has meaning.
Your ancestors
and descendants
and comrades
are all
so proud.
The current
of Truth
conducts
through you,
and that's the only way
to be.
