The mysteries of prophecy: I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets. 1 Kings 22:22

The Bible teaches us what it means that a prophecy is true: everything we do against its fulfillment only reinforces it.
Ahab, the King of Israel had decided to wage war against his enemies, and it was the custom of the kings at that time to consult the seers, in other cultures remember this was known as ´consult the spirits´:
"So he asked Jehoshaphat, ´Will you go with me to fight against Ramoth Gilead?´
Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel, ´I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.´ But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, ´First seek the counsel of the LORD.´ 1 Kings 22:4-5.
Then something predictable happens, the King receives false prophecies, for which he doubts:
"So the king of Israel brought together the prophets—about four hundred men—and asked them, ´Shall I go to war against Ramoth Gilead or shall I refrain?´
´Go,´ they answered, ´for the Lord will give it into the king's hand.´
But Jehoshaphat asked, ´Is there no longer a prophet of the LORD here whom we can inquire of?´" 1 Kings 22:6-7.
It is then that the prophet Micaiah is called to court, and he gives the true prophecy to the King:
"And the LORD said, ´Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?´
´One suggested this, and another that. Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD and said, ´I will entice him.´
´By what means?´ the LORD asked.
´I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,´ he said.
´You will succeed in enticing him,´ said the LORD. ´Go and do it.´", 1 Kings 22:20-22.

It is then that this sinful King decides to go against the prophecy of Micaiah, and takes precautions because the prophet anticipates his death. Ahab sentences Micaiah to jail and goes to war:
"The king of Israel then ordered, ´Take Micaiah and send him back to Amon the ruler of the city and to Joash the king's son and say, ´This is what the king says: Put this fellow in prison and give him nothing but bread and water until I return safely.´
Micaiah declared, ´If you ever return safely, the LORD has not spoken through me.´ Then he added, ´Mark my words, all you people!´", 1 Kings 22:26-28.
It is then that in 1 Kings 22: 29-36, the bible describes us, the battle of King Ahab and how he dies by an arrow.
The King had a destiny, and the King in his pride went against him and mocked Micaias, the only thing that he achieved with all his effort was to fulfill what the prophets Micaias and Elias prophesied to him. This is why the Bible tells us about the Fear of God, because through this spiritual gift we can understand the designs from on high. God gives the prophets an 'intelligent heart' to reveal his will and his mysteries.
