"My Promo-Mentors Writing Challenge" / My Father, my great inspiration

Hello, a very cordial greeting to the entire steemit community, very special to my dear friends of Promo-mentors.

I appreciate the opportunity to participate in this challenge to @Evecab and @Futurethinker and their team.

I can remember since I was little, my father said that he wanted to see his children become professionals in the future; that's what all parents want for their children, well that's what I believe.

Nelson Rodríguez, my father; a hardworking man determined to give his best for his family. Everything that came to her hand to be done to give the best to their children did.

He didn’t make a professional career, he started as a teacher, working as a missionary in the Gran Sabana, being very young. When he returned from his missionary work he wanted to continue in the teaching area, so he did a physical education course and for many years he worked as a physical education teacher in a school.

He always told us about his experiences and motivated us to want something better than what he had already given us. He did his best effort giving us the best education; For my part, he made me study in a technical school, procuring a professional career after leaving the high school. I did not want to be an electrical engineer or anything like that.

When I left high school I had not yet defined what I wanted to study, but as a determined man, he continued guiding me and helping me to get my way. On that journey, I got married without defining my professional future, which he was very worried about. While I started studying music at the Aragua State Conservatory of Music; It occurred to him that he could combine my music with education, so, one day I came up with the proposal to make my entrance to the Pedagogical University, which seemed crazy to me; Even so, I did it, I stayed at the university and managed to get my undergraduate degree in Music Education Specialist.

Minutes before entering my degree award ceremony (july, 2010).

Not satisfied with that, he insisted that I should continue studying, my father very determined that I should be a successful professional; He urged me to continue with a master's degree, I, very obedient I did, also take a master's degree in Higher Education. Only one year after having completed my master's degree and my father saw me graduate, he died of a painful illness.

After the Postgraduate event (july, 2015).

Today I feel deeply grateful to God for the father who gave me, never gave up before the need he felt to see his children become professionals, I hope I have filled it with satisfaction.

My Father was, has been, and will always be the center of my inspiration.
