Last year I went to Nabisunsa girls’ school and had a meeting with the Debating club leaders where I agreed with them to sponsor their Upcoming debating event that is going to attract a huge number of different school students to the event. The event is scheduled to take place early February this year. At first, they needed us to contribute 1million Ugandan shillings which is to cater for the feeding and drinks for over 500 students on the event. The figure was a big one for the team. I decided to go back to them and negotiated further with them where the contribution was scaled down to 800,000ugx which is about (280 SBDS)

I am going to be running a schools project where in the first place we as team Uganda are going to be sponsoring a mega schools event. The event is termed as the Pre Annual schools Debate. The event is going to be attended by over 20 different secondary schools in Uganda. Since we are the major sponsors we shall be having the opportunity to pitch about Steemit to the audience of over 500 students and help them create Steem accounts.

The objectives of this project

• To onboard school students on the Steem Blockchain. Why students? They are literate and are very familiar with smartphones, laptops and the internet and they can easily grasp the Steemit algorithm. They are the future crypto experts who are going to bring about a massive crypto and Blockchain adoption.
• To equip school students with knowledge about Blockchain technology and Cryptocurrency.
• To establish a relationship between Steemit and the various secondary schools in Uganda. How shall that be done? Through Sponsoring the different schools' activities such as sports, events organized by Writers club, Interact club, Debating club.

The Goal

• To create a huge and active Uganda Steem community that is passionate about crypto and Blockchain Technology.
