Very interesting moment I have enjoyed today while sharing with people who are already knowledgeable about crypto and blockchain technology. I shared with several blockchain technology exhibitors about Steemit and they were so astonished about the concept of Steemit.

This Conference has been taking place at Serena Hotel for a period of two days that is 23rd to 24. It was a remarkable one as so many things were discussed regarding the role of Blockchain technology in the transformation of Africa and this is going to open up more jobs for 1000 youths in Uganda.

I shared with them my experience about Steemit and they were greatly moved. One was like this is indeed very incredible and very worth trying out by everyone. They were happy about this kind of blockchain innovation that Steemit is driven on.

I guided 3 people at the conference in opening up steemit accounts. They are: @dayo116, @oworijo, @fx-king. These are very knowledgeable and exposed about cryptocurrency. For example @dayo116 and @fx-king are employees of coinpesa which is a crypto exchange platform. Coinpesa is still a new exchange platform that has just made a month now in existence. It charges 6% on every transaction. What I liked about them is that one can buy bitcoins even at a minimum of $13 (50,000ugx). @fx-king is a forex trader. I spoke to him concerning investing in steem and its benefit. He will be buying steem via blocktrades since he already has bitcoins. We exchanged contacts. We shall be communicating. He requested me to add him in our Uganda Steemit group which am going to do as soon as possible. He will be a very great resource for the Uganda Steemit community and Steemit as a whole.

I gave out my Steemit business cards to several exhibitors including those of Cryptosavannah, Africa Blockchain Alliance, DRC GOLD COIN, Webteller, Bitmari. Due to the fact that most of them were so busy they decided to just take my Steemit cards and promised to visit the Steemit.com site to check it out and create accounts for themselves.
Webteller is another new exchange platform that I encountered. This one has a unique option of exchanging steem directly to our local currency through mobile money. We have always incurred quite a lot of costs while exchanging steem into Bitcoin then cash it out through bitpesa. This has been quite a long process but now this new exchange that is going to be functioning with effect from tomorrow. It is regulated in Uganda where they even opened up offices in Ntinda.

Bitmari is also an exchange platform that exchanges Bitcoin in cash through mobile money(https://www.bitmari.com/core/)

Cryptosavannah brings together and support blockchain based organisations. More about Cryptosavannah check out here

It was such an exciting moment to network with very many of these crypto enthusiasts. They were so excited to have heard about Steemit for the first time. These will be calling me for more details and guidance about Steemit.

An Opportunity to Promote Steemit in Botswana

I met Alakanani Itireleng the founder of Satoshi Center which is a blockchain fundraising Platform. We had a discussion about Steemit because she is already on Steemit(her username is @bitcoinlady) and she told me that she has really laboured to help very many youths in her nation (Botswana) to get on steemit and start earning for themselves some crypto but all in vain as she told me that her people in Botswana are very lazy as they don’t want to work.

Steemit is a platform that she wishes her people back home to get engaged to in order for them to earn and improve/better their lives. Am so glad to have met this lady. She is indeed a very great connection. She is now a very busy business lady having very less time to keep active on steemit. This lady wants me to go to Botswana and make a Steemit presentation to her community in Botswana. She promised to facilitate me in this cause that is if all goes well in her resource mobilisation.

This is another great benefit about Steemit. Live connections. Previously I met a Germany national who is a steemian with a username @achimmertens who is currently partnering and greatly supporting us in promoting Steemit in this country and now this time around I have managed to meet up with Alakanani Itireleng who is a steemian from Botswana.

Thanks for reading and Supporting

Stay tuned for more.
