Made a Steemit Presentation in a classroom

I walked in one of a class room of Uganda Christian University and shared with a bunch of 60 students about Steemit and cryptocurrency. This was possible in the absence of their lecturer who never showed up to attend to his students on this day. I seized the opportunity to sensitise these students about Steemit, though this time around I did not put on my Steemit-t. shirt because it was an abrupt session.

I Defined for them what Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology because many of them did not know about them. Most of them it was their first time to here of such financial terms so I had to go an extra mile to define these for them in simple terms as:

Cryptocurrency is money in digital form that is transacted over the internet
Blockchain Technology is a series of information secured and arranged in form of blocks through cryptography.

They were greatly inspired and enlightened about such terms and the brief concept about Steemit.
I explained to them why they need to join Steemit. I shared with them about the financial revolution that is happening in the whole world where we are headed to a cash less system of the whole world.

The marketing tools I had with me were:

An A3 poster, fliers, and my Steemit business cards.

With an understanding that as marketers, we are foot soldiers I always carry these marketing tools for a proper and quicker presentation of what Steemit is all about for the sake of many who are not yet aware of it. These always wonder what it is all about. Making an impressive and convincing presentation is key.

I used one of my A3 poster which I always carry along with me in my bag. I held it with my hands above my chest as I went on sharing with them about Steemit. They were so astonished as I shared about my experience on the platform.

I told them as students who are well equipped with smart phones and writing skills that they should seize this Steemit opportunity, create accounts and start earning some extra money out of their quality content they publish.

One of them raised up a hand and asked me about

How the money is collected that one has earned.

I responded that the Steemit account is designed in a way that it contains a digital wallet where the money earned from every post collects and stored.

After the session, I distributed the Steemit flies that I had with me and had made them a week ago. They promised to check it out on the website and signup. These will watsapp or call me in case of any further support and guidance as they interact with the platform.

Most students tend to be busy being blinded by the education system that doesn’t help them to be creative. These also heavily rely on their parents funds for the catering for their university tution fees, pocket money and other needs. But when they get done with their course of study they face now the real world. I had to mentor and council them. I told them they should be wise by looking for part time money making opportunities that can help them get equipped with real physical skills and also fetch for them some money for capital and also cater for their other personal necessities.

I helped them also to embrace this opportunity at hand through informing them about the fact that God is a rich God and he desires them to be rich. So they must learn to work hard with their hands so that they make some money for themselves after all the bible says that God blesses the works of our hands. By sharing this with them they had to realise that Steemit money is not free money it’s worked for.

I assured them how they can make money while still studying because Steemit does not limit them on academic qualifications. All they just need is a smart phone/laptop/tab/i-pad or any other gadget that they can use to connect to the internet. Also their time investment as the platform requires committed people who are patient. They as well need to buy internet data and also be creative using their brains to generate ideas which they can build on through research and create good content that is worth an upvote from the steem-community.

In conclusion, many are picking up interest in Cryptocurrency courtesy of the steem-blockchain with its system of rewarding content creators with steem for their contributions.
