Update on The Steemit Guest Party

Introduction

The steemit Guest Party is an initiative of the Kumasi subgroup of steemit Ghana. This is a group of vibrant writers with the aim of spreading the steemit Gospel and making sure that blockchain technology becomes nationwide accepted across Ghana. The Guest party, which is going to be a monthly activity starting from this month(Febraury 2018) was organised to allow active members of the Kumasi subgroup of steemit Ghana to invite atleast one person who is going to be exposed and be mentored into a successful steemian

Report On the Maiden Guest Party

The first of it kind took place in Kumasi on the 3rd of February. The event began with a prayer by @bigsam with @mcsamm being the MC(master of ceremony). The first speaker of the event was myself. I talked about what steemit is and why one must join steemit. It was an interesting conversation with practical and real live time experience based theories as example .

The second speaker was @anaman who digested the topic "what is cryptocurrency?". It was an interesting conversation and to make things more clearer, he used our local dilect to explain things. He laid down the fundamentals of a cryptocurrency and how to invest in one and specifically "steem" as its the most promising crypto in the markets.

The third speaker was @collinz who delivered his topic on the need to power up and invest in steemit in a very unique and exciting way. He talked about the basics of steem power and the need to power since most newbies make their first error by thinking about short term enjoyment at the expense of long term goals.

After @collinz gave his wonderful message, the floor was open for questions and answers which paved way to answer some misconceptions some of the already members of steemit had. I will say had it not been the meet up, most people will still be confused about what they are doing on steemit and am happy that i and the Kumasi team members were able to learn a lot during the Guest Party.

The Fourth and last speaker was @odsam2 who in collaboration with @bigsam gave a wonderful surprise package at the event. @odsam2 gave a wonderful message on the need to motivate yourself as you have started and not to expect any massive gains as one just joins. The first page one is sent to on steemit is the trending page which shows how many people are making lots and lots of dollars on a single post. This create an impression in most people head that its quite easy to make such earnings in the first post which is utterly a lie unless you are already a star in the real live.

END OF THE PROGRAM

The program ended by sharing free data bundles which will last for a 6months period. The bundles were donated by @bigsam and @odsam2 . We also registered the invited guest onto the steemit platform whose accounts are yet to be approved. It was all a wonderful program and we finally closed with a photo session.
