Those tiny little steps that eventually count. (Thinker's thoughts)

Life they say is a journey, and no matter how long or short the distance may be, the journey of a thousand miles (or quarter of a mile) begins with a STEP.
As a minnow steemian, I've come to appreciate the value of starting small and growing an idea, a community, a movement, building something of relevance to many.
Those tiny little steeps we took as babes, were the building block upon which the "Usain Bolt" in us began with.
Steemit provides an avenue for all to grow, to become better, to test our limits and set new records
Needless to say, there's no growth process that hasn't got its own unique challenges (apart from the general challenge)
Growing up as a kid I had a peculiar challenge, slow learners in my time didn't get the much needed attention from a public school that year, so it took a really patient and tender hearted individual like my mom to guide my hands and mind aright, thanks to her (and the strokes of cane... lol) I didn't miss out on learning the basics of life as it were, today I'm grateful someone cared.
The journey on steemit can be likened to training a child and for those of who know what exactly it entails to nurture and grow another human being... We know that shii ain't easy!!
So, you might have been here a while and things a not even close to what you'd pictured when you first heard the steem story from your friends or colleagues, (I've had a dozen reasons to give up myself) "heck! some persons already gave up on this venture, the payouts are damn discouraging and all what not".
Truth be told, You're right! I mean, we hardly ever sign up for things that take their time to grow (we are in a jet age) 😏 speed is everything! Small beginnings shouldn't be overlooked.
Rome wasn't built in one day
It took generations of stern and visionary leadership to attain the state of an empire.
If steemit must work for me, then I must consistently take those tiny little steps of:
- commending/recommending good work
- building/joining community
- making genuine friendships
- choosing value over rewards
- helping others see the light
- investing in steem
- being unbiased / sentiments free
- be more of a giver than a taker.
WE MUST KEEP KEEPING ON!
Cause that's what real steemians do.
