I don't think it's that easy for everyone, but it can definitively be the case for some of them while other will need a more stable and mentored job. It's not everyone that can work hard and persistently on their own without strong guidance and already defined purposes.
Also the salary may be an issue if people don,t make much after a while it may not be for them.
But it's definitively a good idea to try to recruit in the new graduated students, especially if they are unemployed.
